NOTICE OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
1.01 PROJECT INFORMATION
- Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders.

- Project Description: The Project consists of the complete construction of a new Fire Hall for the Town of Superior Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department. It is a 7,300 SF building consisting of apparatus bays and support areas, gear lockers, decontamination area with shower and laundry, offices, training room, multi-purpose room, kitchen, toilet rooms, and ancillary space. The structure consists of steel framing and architectural precast insulated walls panels. The existing Fire Hall is adjacent to new construction and will be in use until the new Fire Hall is fully operational. Demolition of the existing Fire Hall and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents shall be part of the Contract for Construction.
- Project cost range is anticipated to be under $1,655,000.

1.02 BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING
- Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:
- Bid Date: Tuesday, February 26, 2019
- Bid Time: 2:00 p.m. local time.
- Location: Town of Superior Town Hall, 4917 South State Road 35, Superior, WI 54880
- Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
1.03 BID SECURITY
Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
1.04 PREBID MEETING

1.05 DOCUMENTS
- Online Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain access after January 25, 2019, by downloading the complete digital plan set at www.questcdn.com under Project # 6098900 for a non-refundable charge of $25. Online access will be provided to all registered bidders and suppliers.
- In addition to online access, procurement and contracting documents will also be available at the following Builder’s Exchanges.

1.06 TIME OF COMPLETION
A. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time.
1.07 BIDDER’S QUALIFICATIONS
A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
