Town Clean Up Day – Sept 28, 2024 9am-1pm: Town of Superior Clean Up DaySaturday, September 28, 2024 – 9am to 1pmSuperior Town Hall, 4917 S State Rd 35 ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED: Hazardous waste (chemical cleaners, enamel paints, varnishes, automotive fluids, pesticides, herbicides, & medical waste), concrete, yard waste, food and animal waste. PAYMENTS: The Town of Superior will be taking payment for upholstered furniture, mattresses, box springs and hide-a-beds. Payments may be made in cash or by check made out to “Town of Superior.” All other charges will be paid directly to Afterlife Electronics, either by cash or check. Please plan accordingly. SCRAP METAL: Scrap metal can be dropped off free-of-charge during Clean-Up Day and will be donated to the Town of Superior Fire Department for fundraising purposes. Questions? Discontinuance of Road Resolution 2023-03 – Olson Road

Resolution No. 2023-03

STATE OF WISCONSIN
Town of Superior
Douglas County

 

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Superior declares that the public interest requires that part of Olson Road in the Town of Superior ought to be discontinued and vacated, being fully described: 265 feet of Olson Road starting at the end of Olson Road going north within Section 15, in Township 47 North, Range 15 West, Qtr 40 NW, Qtr 160 NW, Douglas County, Wisconsin, depicted upon Road Vacation Map attached hereto;

            WHEREAS, this Resolution was introduced before the Town Board of the Town of Superior on October 11, 2023, Notice of Hearing was duly published in The Superior Telegram, a copy of said Notice was served more than 30 days prior to the hearing in the manner prescribed by law on the owners of all of the frontage of the lots and lands abutting upon the portion of said street to be discontinued; and a public hearing was held before the Town Board of the Town of Superior on December 13, 2023 at 6:45 p.m.; and

            WHEREAS, no sufficient written objection to the said discontinuance and vacation has been filed with the Clerk;

            NOW, THEREFORE, in accordance with the authority vested in the Town Board by 66.1003, Wis Stats.,

            BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Board of the Town of Superior that part of Olson Road above-described be, and the same hereby are, vacated and discontinued, since the public interest requires it.
